Whoops! You can really tell when ive been crafting, hehehehe, and this is only for a couple of hours!
I'm afraid i'm not a tidy crafter by any stretch of the imagination but i am passionate about whatever i do, and in my book passion = chaos!!!

I'VE FINALLY HIT 250 FOLLOWERS

At Last,
I thought the time would never come that i would reach 250 followers, its taken, like.....forever!! lol..so i can finally pick a winner for my Blog Candy of 6 pastel embossing powders and the Paint Fusion 'Tulip' Stamp set!! SOME NEW FLOWERS

Hi Folks,

Last night whilst sat up in bed i made 3 more new flowers, some were made from recycled clothes and others, cut offs of ribbon and lace,but nothing of real significance, the centres were either broken jewellery or bits from my craft box that were suitable, i hope you like them! and thanks for looking, Vick xx

I've finally put together a blog that i have designed myself and it features all the things i love, my coloured Saturated Canary digi's, taffeta ribbon, pearls, satin ribbon, cameos, rose trim, organza, lace, bling, and of course flowers!!!

2 NEW FLOWERS

Hey there folks!

Today i am showing you 2 new handmade flowers that i made whilst laid up in bed, yesterday! Its amazing what you can make from a lap tray and a few craft bits! LOL....I am planning on making more flowers when i get more ideas and inspired hehehehe,and then i will do tut videos to show you how too...however,  Mr.Mojo isn't being very forthcoming i'm afraid........anyway, without further ado here they are, made with recycled clothing!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Hi Guys,

I have after much consideration, decided to change my blog layout, and look, so.......if im not around for the next few days on the blog it is only because i want to sort it out! I for one, know that when i see certain blogs i know without looking at the name who's blog it is simply because i recognise their blog pattern and colours, so it was a decision i wanted to get right, as i think maybe others are like me and know my blog already, so a change, you may not like, so i have to get it right, hence me looking around the internet for something i really like/love......oh and after New Year i will be designing my own backgrounds, blinkies etc as i know i will be able to learn how to do it given the right software, so it may change again, hugs to you all and see you soon........hopefully! lol xxx hugs V

TIED TOGETHER.......WITH PVA

Hi there folks,

The other day i showed you the 'hard to come by' embossing folder, 'Tied Together'. So i've cut a piece of ivory linen card & embossed the piece using the new folder and i made some PVA drops all over to imitate pearls, and it looks so elegant and beautiful that i wanted to show you and post about it, i know what you're probably thinking, "She's finally lost it!" i havent, i just like sharing my ideas and results with you, so here it is, in all its glory and thats before it even reaches a project, i'm already admiring it........LOL.......Hugs, and have a good weekend, Vick xx

SNEAKY PEEK VIDEO

TIED TOGETHER...........

Hey Folks,

Wow, what a palava i've had and the rest of the U.K trying to get hold of this particular embossing folder, WOW!!!! it sold out day after day after day at every store online and off line..........then we get told, that they aren't making anymore!! Boooooo!!
So, after much heckling from the craft world the company behind the folder decided to do one more sweep with it and then that's all folks!!! well, i couldn't not get mine so i have it, from Joanna Sheen.com and if you're quick you could get one too, but i would be quick cause they're selling out fast, everywhere..............again!!! DISTRESSED FLOWER

The other day i made a flower from greaseproof paper! and everyone thought it looked great, including me!
Tonight i put together the same flower but this time with printed paper, distress ink & mica spray! I hope you like this one equally, i've done this to see how different they both look!

GREASEPROOF FLOWER

Hi Folks,

I was cutting out some diecuts yesterday and have been led to believe that wax paper helps in getting intricate dies to come away from the paper/card etc however, in the U.K wax paper is very hard to come by, so i used what i have been told is the next best thing, 'greaseproof paper' so i asked my lovely John to get me some from the shop.
I used it and it does help, but looking at it, its quite flimsy, just a bit tougher than tissue paper, so i thought i wonder how this would look made into a flower so i got started, cutting, layering, glueing, and scrunching and this is what i came up with, i kinda like it, i think its cute, what d'you think?  Hugs Vick xxx

MY HALF FINISHED STUDIO

Well here is my studio, please excuse the mess as its only half finished and i have lots more in boxes to put in there, but i thought i would give you a preview of what it looks like and how much work i have left to make it ok, which, when i was abled body would take me one day but in my current state of health and mind will take me weeks into the months, so it maybe a long time before you see the finished article, hence this sneaky peek!!! MY NEMESIS

LOL.......Hi Guys,

I'm giggling to myself as i am about to show you my nemesis, the one thing in my studio at this moment in time that has not been used by me and only used once in its whole history and that definitely wasn't me, it was my John.....he's a dab hand with what i'm about to show you but only went on it to show me how........scared isnt the word, im petrified of breaking it? I don't know and i can't explain it, but the fact that i am paying attention to it must be a good sign, right? So here 'he' is Captain Brother, lol!!!

This machine is brand spanking new!! I've had it over 5 years, but its new, ive never used it, its computerised with 60 lovely stitches on board!! All my adult life i wanted a sewing machine and i was never in the position to be allowed one, then, i met John, we married and he bought me this lil beauty and instead of getting stuck in there and having a go! I clammed up and havent been able to learn on it, or even switch it on! John did that for me too, this is a man who has in the past made full sets of velvet curtains, tie backs, valances, and blinds, and here's me can't even practice on an old sheet!!
Recently i got a studio as my son finally left home and left me with a little box room so i took it, due to my disabilities i cannot stand up too long and definitely can't lift anything heavy, so i had to wait to utilise it, but my John put up shelves, built shelving units and cupboard space and generally provided somewhere for me to craft, it isn't massive but its mine, all mine!!! I havent finished it yet, when i do, i will take pics and a video as promised, as i am one of those too..........the nosey crafter who loves nothing better than to have a nose around other crafters studios, lol, cant help it, im human!!! so shoot me!!
Anyway, i figured, looking at the Captain last night, that i would 'have a go' take it easy and do some stitching on my cards, and then progress to an apron to protect my clothes when im painting,( i paint, oils on canvas)  inking and spritzing.....maybe a cushion cover and then maybe even a set of shabby chic curtains for the bedroom............who knows, wish me luck, Captain i'm coming after you!!!!LOL.....be afraid....be very afraid!!

SATURATED CANARY YOUTUBE LAUNCH

Hi Guys,

Well the day is here, the Saturated Canary Youtube channel has been launched and to kick off launch week we have the owner and artist Krista Smith who is hosting the first video of the week, with my video being posted tomorrow (Sun).  For each day,  for the first week Sept 1st-7th each designer in the team will post a video tutorial showing you a technique and/or project using one or more S.C stamps.
