LADYBUG CRAFTS CHALLENGE BLOG LAUNCH

Hi Folks,

How's your Saturday treating ya? Well, i'm up and at 'em, dog watching as John has gone out to pick up our neighbours from their holiday, they don't drive! Anyway, today is a great day for the crafting fraternity as my last post mentioned Saturated Canary youtube channel is up and running and the ****ALL NEW**** Ladybug Crafts Challenge Blog of which i am a designer, has officially opened today too, LADYBUG CHALLENGES (CLICK HERE) and to start the challenges off real easy, our first theme is 'Anything Goes' so why not join me, Samantha and the rest of the team and have a go yourself, there's a £15 Ladybug Crafts shop voucher up for grabs!! So here's my entry.........an 8x8 square card, hope you like.....

Ingredients used to make my card

Unity Stamp Co ***New*** Happiness Is.......rubber stamp from Ladybug Crafts
I coloured the stamp with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers (shabby shutters, victorian velvet, spun sugar, worn lipstick, tattered rose, walnut stain & brushed corduroy)
Victoria&Albert Hanoverian, linen paper 8x8
Spellbinders Labels 28 (the largest die)
That beautiful lace and ribbon is from Ribbon Girl, HERE
The small white gardenias are from Ladybug Crafts
40mm Rose Pink Trellis Rose is from WOC
Sentiment is from the same Unity Stamp and it is stamped onto Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags 1
Both die areas were inked up with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and Cut and Dry foam
Pearl Button Embellies through Creative Expressions available at Creative-Studios (Sam Poole)

  4. Such a pretty card, Vick! I love the girl on the swing image. Can I just ask what you do about envelopes for these large cards and how do they fit in with the flowers which are quite high? xx

    I buy 8x8 whte envelopes on their own from TheRange but you can get 8x8 card blanks and env's at Joanna Sheen....i can usually get away with the flowers as i make my base just under the 8x8 gives you some leeway on the 'slackness' of the envelope, but, if i find i havent got enough room and its a special card i will, buy or make a box, you can as well, and i have, wrap the card in bubble wrap and then put into a jiffy bag and send, hugs hun and thanks for the lovely comment, hope ive helped ya!! xxxxVick

    You have literally caught me as i have just finished filming, lol, so i have just come on my laptop to start editing my video with titles etc, i don't cut anything out so its all as it happens, lol, no safety net and i only made one boo boo, hehehe, so it will be uploaded to the SaturatedCanary channel within the next hour or two, ready for the U.K and well in time for my friends in the good old U.S of A and worldwide, hopefully.
